Installation
Determine the actual water flow rate of the beverage appliance as allowed by either or both of
the equipment's water flow restrictor or regulator and/or the inlet water solenoid valve orifice.
Install after water filter before entering coffee brewer, ice maker, steamer or beverage station.
On evaporative coolers, install on the recirculating water line.
IMPORTANT
Regardless of tubing size connected to the beverage equipment
install the model descaler that appropriately matches the
beverage equipment's water induction and flow rate.

• Install Scale Interceptor according to flow direction arrow printed on unit. Descaler
MUST be grounded. We advise attaching the appropriate end of the descaler tubing
directly to the beverage equipment's water inlet fitting
• Attach the ground wire to the grounding lug on the copper tubing of the descaler, then
attach the other end of the wire to a known ground preferably the equipment itself.
The Four ABSOLUTE MUSTS!
1. MUST use clean, filtered water
2. MUST be sized properly (flow rate)
3. MUST be grounded to ground connector supplied
4. MUST use proper flow direction
