TESTIMONIALS
"We have an account in Kentucky at a nursing home far from our location in Detroit. The first
time our client called it had only been 6 weeks since the high volume coffee machine was
installed and there was a leak problem. After that was resolved, they complained about a scale
problem which was occurring continuously every 4-5 weeks. Because of the distance between
our locations, we had to hire a service company to go to their location and clean the machine.
This became very costly because each service call is about $150. It got to the point where we
had to replace the machine and install a Scale Interceptor on the new machine. This new
installation left the machine completely scale free. The machine was installed for 9 months and
when it was evaluated again, scale was no where to be found. It was as if the machine had just
been cleaned."

“Of my 27 years in this business I was skeptical that it was ‘just another magnet powered
product.’ The testing of the Scale Interceptor has proven it to be a remarkable device. Give it a
try or give me a call.”

What Does the Scale Interceptor Do?
The Scale Interceptor prevents the development of future scale on commercial water and
beverage equipment. The Scale Interceptor should be installed on a clean machine so that the
breakdown of existing deposits doesn’t harm or cause problems to the machine.
How Does it Work?
The Scale Interceptor is a permanently energized ionic inducer composed of rare earth metals.
This reduces the adhesive bond between dissolved (calcium and magnesium) minerals in your
water as it passes through your equipment. The result is maintenance-free, scale-free
equipment.
Do I Need A Water Filter?
Yes! Clean filtered water is a MUST! Water containing any contaminants and sediment can
affect the performance of the Scale Interceptor. Additionally, quality water enhances the taste of
all beverages.
Q. What are the best areas for noticeable scale reduction?
A. Where the supply water is harder than 5 grains/gallon hard.
Q. Where will I find this hardness factor?
A. Local water treatment professionals will know this or the information is
available from the water treatment facility. OR TEST STRIPS ARE
AVAILABLE FROM HHD
Q. What is hard water?
A. Water that contains substantial amounts of calcium carbonate (CaCO3 )
minerals in it, commonly called lime.
Q. What does the Scale Interceptor do to this "lime" mineral to keep
it from scaling up the equipment?
A. The permanent energy field in this ionic induction device changes the
dynamics of the scale crystal to form a rhomboid or round soft calcite
crystal rather than the typical linear orthorhombic aragonite hard linear
crystal. The specific density of this change and brinell hardness factors
are both scientifically measurable.
Q. Where is the best place to install these devices?
A. After a water filter, before the heating/chilling component.
Q. Is filtration necessary?
A. Always use at least a 5 micron sediment filter. If chlorine or other organic
taste/odor problems exist, also use activated carbon filtration.
Q. Will the Scale Interceptor do anything to the coffee taste?
A. Tests show that it increases the solubility factor of ingredients dissolved
in the water so it may enhance the brew flavor.
Q. Why is grounding required?
A. It accelerates the negative polarity field in the fluid bed. When the fluid
contacts the negative polarity water pipe it tends to be repelled (like
polarity fields repel each other ) so physical bonding of the minerals to
the piping is reduced or eliminated.
Q. What about its applications for tea brewers?
A. Mineral content in water turns tea cloudy. Scale Interceptor will NOT
clarify tea but WILL keep brewer scale free. Best to use low mineral
content, distilled water or water softener resin.
Q. Is this just another unproven new idea?
A. No. This product has been time tested for over 25 years in most hard
water areas of the world with 100% excellent results when properly installed.
IMPORTANT Must be installed on a clean (scale free) machine with a water filter

The Four ABSOLUTE MUSTS!
1. MUST use clean, filtered water
2. MUST be sized properly (flow rate)
3. MUST be grounded to ground connector supplied
4. MUST use proper flow direction
